FAQs

1. Can I operate the unit on a portable table in the warehouse?

Yes, the unit can run from battery power units and because the typical power draw is less than 20 watts, most modest rechargeable supplies will be sufficient for a full day of use.

2. Do I require any special power, lighting or construction in the area I would like to install the ExpressCube unit?

The ExpressCube unit is a self contained unit that only requires a stable level table for support. The power requirements are minimal and does not require special wiring.

3. Do I need special adapters to power the unit outside North America?

Every ExpressCube countertop unit is equipped with a world adapter that includes 4 physical international power plugs. It is fully certified with UL/CUL, PSE, BS, GS, CE, FCC & SA approvals and is RoHS & CEE compliant.

4. I would like to install this unit in an open office environment - does it make any noise?

The unit is silent and does not originate any of the clicking sounds commonly associated with ultrasonic measuring devices.

5. Would there be any long term health issues or recommended protection for dedicated operators?

The ExpressCube units emit no harmful radiation of any type.

6. Is there any assembly or special tools required?

The unit arrives assembled and only requires the lifting of the hinged rear assembly to be secured by four supplied screws.

7. Do I need a hand help scanner to operate the ExpressCube countertop unit?

The ExpressCube unit will measure the dimensions of parcels without the use of a hand held scanner. The ExpressCube countertop unit can record bar codes with a handheld scanner* if the user requires this feature. (*not supplied)
